Explore Conservation Options for your Land
Your gift of an easement on your property will be protected by the Trust, can provide you with a charitable tax deduction, and will provide enjoyment for future generations. The federal tax incentive for donating conservation easements has been extended through 2009. If you own land with significant conservation values, donating a conservation to a land trust can be one of the smartest ways to conserve the land you love, while maintaining your private property rights and possibly realizing significant federal tax benefits. Please contact us at 207-869-1012 for more detailed information about the process of donating a conservation easement.

Gifts of Land, Securities or Bequests
A gift of land, securities, or bequests and life-income gifts can provide significant tax advantages to donors while supporting the Trust's land conservation programs. Please contact us at 207-869-1012 for more information about these opportunities.

Volunteer!
FCT is primarily a volunteer organization. As the number of preserved properties and trails grows, FCT needs additional volunteers to assist with community outreach, event planning, fundraising, photography, property stewardship and trail maintenance. If you would like to volunteer, we want to hear from you! Please download a volunteer interest form, fill it out and return it via email attachment to kyle.fct@gmail.com or mail it to Freeport Conservation Trust, P.O. Box 433, Freeport, ME 04032. We'll review your form and get in touch.
